Tolu Arokodare scored twice as Ajax defeated Sion 5-3 in the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League playoff tie on Thursday night.
The Dutch giants progressed to the group phase with a 9-5 aggregate victory.
Arokodare, who was handed his first competitive start for Ajax, netted his side’s third goal in first-half stoppage time.

The Nigeria international latched onto Abdellah Ouazane’s cross before calmly firing the ball into the net.
The striker grabbed his second goal of the encounter six minutes after the restart, with Ouazane once again providing the assist.
Arokodare also made a significant contribution in the first leg, registering a goal and an assist.
The forward has now scored four goals and provided two assists in five appearances across all competitions since joining Ajax on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.
