Napoli midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne has cleared the air on rumours that he wanted to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
Reports had emerged that the Belgium international was not enjoying life at Napoli under former manager Antonio Conte last season.
As a result, De Bruyne was linked with a move away from the Serie A club.
Speaking on the development during a press conference with the Belgium national team on Tuesday, the former Manchester City star told reporters that he did not try to leave Napoli in the summer.
According to him, he only enjoyed his holidays before returning to Napoli.
“No, I have not really spoken to anyone about it [trying to leave Napoli],” De Bruyne said.
“I just enjoyed my holidays and went straight back to Naples.”
De Bruyne joined Napoli on a free transfer from Premier League giants Manchester City last year.
