Chairman of Niger Tornadoes football club of Minna, Abubakar Kuso, on Tuesday said the state-owned football team can not work without a robust partnership with the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN).
While appealing for synergy, the leadership of SWAN, Niger State Chapter, paid him a visit in Minna; the Chairman assured that henceforth all away matches will have at least a member of the state SWAN travel with the team.
According to him, “As a club side, we will partner with SWAN because, as a major stakeholder, we have done in the past.”
He then assured that the hiccups faced by members of the SWAN at the stadium entry gate during home games will no longer happen, adding that “we are no longer ceding our tickets to firms because they are causing problems for us”.
Speaking earlier, Chairman of the State SWAN, Alhassan Kutigi and his members highlighted some of their challenges and assured of continuous support for the State-owned team.
