NDC Celebrates Obi At 65, Says His Courage Inspires Nigerians

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has felicitated with its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, describing him as a beacon of hope, integrity and visionary leadership whose courage continues to inspire millions of Nigerians.

In a statement jointly signed by the party’s National Chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe, and National Secretary, Barrister Ikenna Morgan, the NDC said Obi’s commitment to selfless service and nation-building has continued to strengthen the resolve of party members and supporters across the country.

The party described the former Anambra State governor as “the hope of the nation” and a leader whose dedication to putting the interests of the people first remains a guiding principle for the NDC.

According to the statement, Obi’s vision for a better Nigeria has rekindled hope among citizens seeking accountable governance, economic prosperity and social justice.

“Today, we celebrate the hope of the nation, a leader of integrity, a servant leader, and the presidential candidate of the NDC, His Excellency, Peter Obi.

“Your courage inspires us. Your vision gives millions of Nigerians hope. Your dedication to building a nation where the people come first continues to guide our party,” the statement read.

The NDC leadership prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom and good health for Obi as he pursues his mission of leading the country towards a brighter future.

“On behalf of the entire membership of NDC, we wish you good health, wisdom and God’s guidance as you lead us into a new Nigeria,” the party added.

The statement concluded with a birthday message to the former governor, wishing him many more years of impactful service to the nation and humanity.

Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, is the presidential candidate of the NDC and remains one of Nigeria’s leading opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
