Date:

Ebenezer Akinsamiro will return to Inter Milan after his failure to secure a permanent transfer to Serie A B club Pisa, reports Completesports.com.

Akinsamiro spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Pisa, where he made 24 appearances and registered one assist.

Reason Behind Transfer Collapse

The Tuscan club were prepared to trigger the €7.5 million purchase option in his contract, but the transfer collapsed during the exchange of documents.

Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the specifics of the breakdown, via FCInter1908: “The Akinsanmiro purchase option collapsed due to a problem between the clubs, the option had been exercised but it fell through at the documents stage. Inter are now evaluating other offers for the midfielder.”

Bundesliga Option For Akinsamiro

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, several Bundesliga clubs are closely monitoring the Nigerian’s situation.

The defensive midfielder could be loaned out again this summer, although a permanent transfer to another club also remains a possibility.

Akinsamiro linked up with Inter Milan from Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, club Remo Stars in January 2023, signing a four-year contract.

The Beyond Limits Academy product spent the 2024/25 season on loan with Sampdoria.

He was included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations but did not feature in any match during the tournament.
