Ahead of the January 2027 general election, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, and the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the August election, Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji, alongside their supporters, have resolved to partner with Governor Ademola Adeleke to ensure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
This is just as the duo and the teeming supporters of the APC in the state have commenced the mobilisation of no fewer than 10,000 door-to-door canvassers for the re-election of President Tinubu.
The Chairman of the Party, Mr Tajudeen Lawal, who made this known in a statement on Friday, noted that the party structure is ready to partner with the Governor, who is the coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council for Tinubu’s re-election in the state.
Mr Lawal added that the leadership of the party in the state has successfully mapped out various activities that would conveniently result in the realisation of the set objective of returning the APC presidential candidate in the election.
He disclosed that “We have mobilised about 10,000 members of our party for a door-to-door campaign for President Bola Tinubu to take the good deeds of his administration to the grassroots across the 30 local government areas of Osun State.
“The reforms by the President are pruning the economy and paving the way for strong generational wealth.”
He disclosed that “The party structure backed by our leader, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, AMBO and state executive have concluded the plan; we are going to mobilise 10,000 canvassers for inauguration tomorrow in Osogbo.”
Responding to Governor Adeleke’s leadership of PCC, he said, “It was resolved that the state APC would work with Governor Adeleke to return President Tinubu in the election.
“The leadership of the APC in the state appreciated the resolve of Governor Adeleke to work for the re-election of President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election.”
He enjoined him to do everything necessary in order to incorporate all the necessary stakeholders, including the APC leaders and members, in the interest of a desired goal.
“We have resolved that the Osun State chapter of the APC should continue to work and mobilise the electorate for all the candidates of the party for the National Assembly and the state House of Assembly in the forthcoming elections.”
Part of the resolutions at the meeting was that the APC should set up a campaign council saddled with the campaign for the National Assembly and the House of Assembly candidates of the APC.
It was also resolved at the meeting that the party structures at all levels should be used to drive all the party activities for all the upcoming elections.
